How, why, when, and for whom do we collect, use, and store data

1- INTRODUCTION

At Nabd Development and Evolution Organization (NDEO), we appreciate the trust you place in us when you choose to visit our website, www.ndeoye.org (the “Website”), and Social Media Pages/Sites (“SMP”), and we are committed to protecting your privacy. This NDEO Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes the types of personal information we collect, why and how we collect it, how we use it, and when we share it with third parties.  Our Policy also describes the choices you can make about how we collect and use your personal information.

In this Privacy Policy, “we” and “our” mean NDEO, and “you” means any person who visits our website or social media accounts, calls us on the phone or emails us.

By accessing NDEO Website or SMP, you are agreeing in good faith to the following terms. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not access or use NDEO Website or SMP. If you breach any of the terms of this Policy, your authorization to use them automatically terminates.


3 - NDEO’s PROPRIETARY RIGHTS AND RE-USE POLICY

The materials on NDEO Website or SMP are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and/or other intellectual property laws, and any unauthorized use of the materials may violate such laws. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, governmental regulations, and guidelines with respect to or otherwise arising out of your use of our Website or SMP.


4 - COLLECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect different types of personal information in several ways, including:

4.1 Contact Information and Identifiers

such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address NDEO may use the personal information you provide to:

  1. Contact you – either in response to a query, suggestion, or to mail newsletters, documents, publications, etc. to you;
  2. Manage and process your job, volunteer, and intern applications;
  3.  Confirm your registrations on the site;
  4. “Remember” your online profile and preferences;
  5. Help you quickly find information that is relevant to you based on your interests, and help us create site content most relevant to you;
  6. Statistical analysis.

We may also collect this information from you if you call us, email, or sign up to receive our marketing emails or utilize the chat/help feature on our website.


4.2 NDEO Website Account Information

such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, study or work information, and other related information. Account information may also include demographic information about you, such as your age or birthdate, and gender. By creating a username and a password of your choice, you may access your account online at any time to view and/or edit or update your profile, address book, studying and work information, submissions history, skill list, and email subscriptions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information.

Preference information, such as your subscription to receive the latest activities or applications for employment, volunteering, training, and tenders.

Geolocation information, such as the location of your device that you use to visit our Website if your device settings allow us to collect location information; and

Chat and call recordings, including information about your chat or call and any information that you share during these interactions.


4.3 Social Media Information.

We may also collect personal information about you if you choose to enable, log into, or sign on to NDEO SMP such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter. When you connect to our SMP, we may collect the personal information that you provide. For example, when you log in with your Facebook credentials, we may collect personal information from your Facebook profile, if permitted– such as your email address, profile picture, and friend list. We use this information to personalize the services we provide to you. If you do not want us to provide us with this information, please change the privacy settings on your Social Media Site accounts.


4.4 Device And Browsing Information and Other Internet Activity Information.

We use automated means to collect information about your phone, tablet, computer, or device, and online browsing activity.  This information may include IP addresses, unique device identifiers, cookie identifiers, device and browser settings and information, and Internet service provider information. We use a variety of means to collect this information, including the following:

Cookies: Like many websites, we use a feature of your browser called a “cookie.” A cookie automatically identifies a computer—but not an individual—to our servers when a person visits our website.  Cookies allow us to correlate your computer with certain usage patterns that are stored in our log files.  We use cookies to help us improve our Website and to deliver a better and more customized service. Cookies/Tracking Technologies on SMP: NDEO maintains NDEO pages on various SMP. When you visit our SMP, the provider of the SMP and other third parties may set cookies and other tracking technologies on your browser or device. We do not have control over the placement of cookies by other websites or social media websites. Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, the privacy practices or cookie use by any third-party sites.

Clear GIFS: We may also collect information through the use of clear gifs (also called Pixel Tags, Web beacons, and Web bugs) on our Website and in selected email messages we send to you.  These are tiny graphic files, not visible to the human eye, that help us analyze our customers’ online behavior and measure the effectiveness of our Website and our advertising. We work with third-party service providers that help us track, collect, and analyze this information, which may include your device’s IP address, your browser type, your operating system, date and time information, such as when you receive, open, or click a link in an email message from us, and other technical information about your device. We may also track certain information about the identity of the website you visited immediately before coming to our site. We also work with third-party service providers that use tracking technologies to deliver promotions on our behalf across the Internet. These companies may collect information about your visits to our Website and your interaction with our advertising and other communications.

Do Not Track Signals: When a user turns on the Do Not Track preference in their web browser, the browser sends a message to websites requesting them not to track the user. At this time, we do not respond to Do Not Track browser settings or signals.

5.2 Sale Or Transfer of All or Part of Our Assets

5.3 To Unsubscribe

To unsubscribe from our marketing emails, please email us at cs@ndeoye.org, or simply click the unsubscribe button found at the bottom of any of the emails that we send you.  Please allow us at least ten (10) working days from when the request was received to complete your unsubscribe request.


5.4 Security

We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information volunteered on the NDEO site or SMP to any party that does not have any related to our business. Any information provided to NDEO by users of the NDEO site or SMP is held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways other than as set forth in this privacy policy, or in any site-specific policies, or in ways to which you have explicitly consented. NDEO employs a range of technologies and security measures to protect the information maintained on our systems from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

All our employees who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of official business matters, including personal data. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, while we use commercially reasonable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

Our Website and Social Media accounts may include links to third-party websites whose privacy practices may differ from ours. 5.6 Children’s Privacy

Our Website is not intended for children. NDEO does not knowingly collect any personal information or data from children under the age of thirteen and will dispose of any such information if we become aware that it has been provided to us.  If you believe that your child under the age of 13 has submitted personal information to us in connection with our Website or SMP, please contact us at cs@ndeoye.org so that we may take steps to delete this information.


5.7 Changes To This Policy

 We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we change our Privacy Policy, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on our website with an updated date. Under certain circumstances, we may notify you of amendments through additional means, such as posting a notice on our Website homepage and SMP or contacting you via email.


5.8 Customers Around the World

NDEO stores its information, including Personal Data, and hosts its website with third parties in the United States. Please be aware that your Personal Data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the place where our servers are located, and our central database is operated. The laws that apply to the use and protection of personal data in the countries or jurisdictions in which we transfer, or process personal information may be different than the laws and protections in your country. Once we have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose(s) to which you originally consented unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for further processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.  Whenever you withdraw consent, you acknowledge and accept that this may have a negative influence on the quality of our Website.


6.4 Fees

We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee if your request to exercise one of your rights is unreasonable or excessive.  Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such a case.


6.5 No Automated Decision Making

We do not apply automated decision-making or profiling techniques.

We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy, not just the first time you visit our website or SMP, but periodically afterward because we may modify our Privacy Policy from time to time. The date of the last update of the Privacy Policy will always be posted on our Website.
