The Partnerships Officer will be the senior assistant to NDEO Partnerships and Grants Management. The employee will act as a facilitator for NDEO’s grants and partnerships management processes to ensure compliance with donor requirements at all stages of the project life cycle. The responsibilities of the Grants Unit include, but are not limited to, ensuring that new grants are generated and the database is updated on a timely basis, facilitating grant opening and closing processes, advising on donor rules and regulations, maintaining grant information and files, leading proposal development processes, managing reporting deadlines, and producing high quality program reports, agency updates, donors, and development of internal and external communication materials. Partnerships Unit responsibilities include finding new partnerships for the organization in addition to new memberships, active engagement with various stakeholders and always emerging as an active organization in cooperation with NDEO various team members. It will also be a priority for management to reflect a good image of NDEO internally and externally and work on continuous development. The employee will also be responsible to enhanceing in the general objective of the position of Head of Partnerships is to enhance and develop the organization's business and strategic partnerships. This includes managing and nurturing relationships with current partners and expanding the partnership base by establishing new relationships with potential partners.
Responsibilities:
Work and comply with all NDEO rolls, policies, systems, and programs and apply them with high quality and efficiency, on time and according to the permissions and powers given.
updating the grants database periodically with new grants
Make necessary arrangements in funding opportunities, grant opening, compliance calls, project mobilization internally and for partners, and grant close outs with the support of direct manage
Taking the lead on conducting and preparing due diligence with the partners/ donors and support the preparation of grant agreements, amendments, and modifications
Writing appropriate proposals periodically giving attention to deadline
Continuous search for new partnerships and memberships for NDEO in accordance with its goals and policies.
Support the development and delivery of marketing and communication plans to promote our reports, events, and other products to our target audience
Ensure that NDEO is best shown by attending meetings and workshops locally, regionally or internationally as well as through social media.
Participating in proposing innovative ideas to develop media in the organization
Contribute to the preparation of development plans and management strategies, ensure the preparation of all reports related to management activities, and keep all documents in an organized manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree is required preferably in Project Management, Relationships and Communication or other relevant degree
Between 3 to 5 years of experience related to project management, partnerships and/or grants management, preferably in Humanitarian NGOs
Fluently English Language (Writing and speaking) is required
Proficiency in MS Office (All programs without exceptions)
Advanced internet research and report writing skills are required.
Has the ability to withstand work pressure and ready to travel at any time
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Has the ability to work within a harmonious team and deal effectively with different personalities.
